My Dearest Lindy, Resha, and everyone at 36th Street Events,
JJ and I are so grateful for all that you did to make our wedding the best day of our lives. When we decided to get married, we really did think we could do it all ourselves. How wrong we were! When I set about finding a wedding planner, I had no idea I would get so lucky as to find people such as yourselves. You took on all of those details that were causing me so much stress and you made that stress go away so that I could enjoy being engaged! There is nothing that I can ever do or say to convey my gratitude for that.
When I think back to my actual wedding day, I think of Resha taking me to my hair appointment, Gloria bringing me a glass of water on the lawn, and Lindy handling every single detail with charm and grace. From the bottom of my heart THANK YOU!
Much love always,
Jo & JJ
Dear Lindy, Resha and the team at 36th Street Events:
Simply put: We would not have had the wedding we wanted without you.
Three months into our engagement, when I realized that planning a wedding and working a demanding full-time job were not compatible, I knew that something had to give. I went to theknot.com and put in online inquiries to a few different wedding planners in Austin. Lindy called and left a message on my cell phone almost immediately, and something about your voice and the tone of your message made me realize that you were the answer to my prayers. I called back and we chatted for a few minutes before I asked you to be our planner. You asked if I wanted to interview you over the phone and I said no, I knew you were the right person for us to work with. Never in my life have my instincts been more right. You not only planned a beautiful wedding for my husband and me, but you became a trusted confidant and a treasured friend, whom I love, adore and cherish to this day.
My trust and faith in 36th Street was cemented in an initial conference call with Lindy and Resha, and after that, for the duration of the process, I pretty much sat back and let you take the reins. From the tasting with our caterer, to handling unforeseen budgetary constraints, to dealing with last-minute vendor problems, you were with me every step of the way. You found me a florist, a DJ, a spa, a hairdresser, a rehearsal dinner site, and handled countless other details that I found too tedious to deal with from halfway across the country. Lindy designed our programs and created a timeline down to the minute for our rehearsal, ceremony and reception, without which I have no doubt our wedding weekend would have been complete chaos. Resha came to my wedding-day hair appointment with a flower for my hair and drove me back to the hotel to have my make-up done. Gloria met my husband and me with glasses of water after the ceremony because she knew we would be thirsty while having our pictures taken. You ladies thought of everything - there are way too many details to list here - and you did it all with smiles on your faces and what we believe was a genuine affection for my husband and me. We felt like we were working with friends, not people we hired to manage our wedding, and this is what made all the difference to us.
There are no words to express our gratitude or the continued feelings of friendship and affection we feel for you all. You were with us throughout the most important and happy time of our lives, and we know it came together to be the incredible event that it was because of all your hard work. You are very special people who do a difficult job with ease, grace, respect for your clients' vision and complete competence. You stand above and beyond anyone we have ever known in the service industry. Lindy, I hope what I wrote above sufficiently shows you how much I treasure what you did for us, and how highly I think of you. You are a special woman who is blessing your clients with your talent and abilities. You are going to be incredibly successful in this business.
From the bottom of our hearts we thank you, and we wish you love, happiness and continued success in your business and in your lives.
Much love,
Joanna & JJ
