"We hired them (36th Street) in October last year - about 5 months or so before our big day. We got the weekend-of package, so there wasn't a whole lot of coordinating until the last month or so on their part (I did a lot of the design work etc myself). We had a long meeting about a month before the big day and that's when their involvement really kicked in. And they truly hit the ground running!!
Even before that month-out meeting, they were always willing to answer any questions I had about vendors, where to get specific items, etc, and were also very quick to respond. I never waited more than a day for ample suggestions that happened to be a perfect match for whatever I was looking for.
I was most pleased with their willingness to help and their consistent availability - along with great personality, genuine concern for how I was holding up through the process, and knowledge of vendors and product availability. Plus I thought their fee was really competitive - we absolutely got more than what we paid for with the girls. No question.
They were genius at helping us pull everything together. We got married at the Allan house and had the reception there too. We did everything outside, so there were a lot of logistics to contend with - namely the "big switch" from ceremony mode (170 chairs set up in aisles with all the tables along the back fence, out of the way, but ready and set with plates, and favors, etc...) to reception mode (all tables and chairs in place, beautifully set, perfectly placed on site, ready for the great party we had!!). It was seamless. The transition took all of 10 minutes is seems!!! Plus they helped with making sure all the vendors were on time, in order, paid, and had everything they needed from me... They also coordinated several times with the Allan house rep on premises to make sure that they were happy with how things were occurring. They really covered all the bases. Since the Allan house is really just a venue - no tables, no chairs, nothing - we had to bring in everything ourselves. All the rentals, the food, the liquor, the bartenders, the servers... it was quite an ordeal and had the serious potential for some major mishaps... it was flawless. The girls made sure of that. And they even cut and served our cake!!!
I would absolutely - no question in my mind - hire them again. I couldn't recommend them more highly."
